The Marsden Mark 3 Sludge Pump

This pump has the option of being remotely controlled thru a 40m umbilical.

The pump can reduce its cross section size to be driven thru a 600mm dia manhole (special ramps are available for standard tank bottom manholes) then open out to the operational width.

Basic pump dimensions

Length 3m
W x H

500 x 500 For passage thru a manhole. Opens out to harvest approx 1.2 m wide

Weight of basic pump unit (approx) 500 kg

Applications

The Marsden Mk 3 Sludge Pump is for operation on flat surfaces such as tank floors.

Very deep sludge at the manhole entry needs to be removed (see the Mk 4 pump Applications below) then the pump can be driven into deep sludge banks for the removal of the bulk of the sludge without any manpower requirements inside the tank.

Alternative front end feeder connections can be fitted for a variety of situations.

THE MARSDEN MK 4 SLUDGE PUMP

This pump is a general purpose unit that can be utilized in a wide variety of situations.

1. A light monorail is available to insert the pump for the initial pump out of very deep sludge at a tank manhole. It will pass thru a 600mm dia manhole

2. The pump can be lowered into a tank or pit to settle into a sludge strata below the liquid level.

3. A hopper can be fitted to catch the sludge that drains from a manhole (extra very deep sludge problem) or located conveniently in a vessel for hand feeding as a ‘bottomless pit’
4. Use as an ‘inline’ pump or fitted with a flexible suction hose .

5. Fitted with an ‘active’ screen to allow the pump out of sludge contaminated with larger sizes of debris.

6. Fitted to a larger wheeled trolley the pump can be dragged thru a rough bottomed pond to remove sludge from above the pit bottom.

THE MARSDEN MK 5 SLUDGE PUMP

This pump is a scaled down lightweight development from the Mk 4 unit. It is suited to easier manhandling to difficult locations. The pump may be fitted with feeder heads, hoppers or suction hoses in the same format as for the Mk 4 Sludge pump
